Data Engineering Simplified

My goal with founding Databaum was to make the process of maximizing your company's data easier.  Whatever tech stack you're using, at the end of the day, you're taking denormalized data, transforming it for consumption, and loading it into a data store.  The process can look quite different depending on a number of variables, but generally speaking, that's it!  The complexities come into play when we talk about things like the current state of the data, data types, scalability, data volume, growth rates, refresh cadences and client traffic.  Why not offload all those complexities to someone who loves solving those problems?

The Data Life Cycle

At Databaum, I advocate for the Data Life Cycle, which encompasses Generation, Collection, Processing, Storage, Management, Analysis, Visualization, Insights and Deletion. This framework helps identify how a company, department, or team manages their data.  By going through this auditing process, we're able to map out strengths and weaknesses in order to come up with a winning strategy moving forward.

About Me

I have ten years (and counting) in the data field as an individual contributor.  It's a great blend of advanced problem-solving and serving others: two things I'm passionate about.  I've designed, developed, optimized, and maintained scalable database solutions for global, multi-million dollar enterprises. My expertise spans various database technologies across thousands of data stores, and I understand the challenges of data engineering because I've personally had to solve them. I've collaborated with teams from numerous countries worldwide to enhance their data offerings. Let’s work together to maximize your data potential.
